Postcards from the Center
You may have wondered where I got my scintillating writing style and gift for storytelling. I inherited it from my father. He and my stepmother recently retired and are exploring the country. Here is a sampling of my father's eye for detail and wordsmithing. For some reason, I find these hilarious. Forgive me for being evil and posting them here.

those look just like my postcards!
i'm not sure i really get the whole postcard thing-when I travel, the last thing i want to do is sit down and write a bunch of postcards, wtf? I'll TELL YOU ABOUT IT WHEN I GET HOME.
Hah - this is actually verbose for my father. If we left it to conversation, it would go something like this:
JD "Welcome back! How was the trip!"
Dad "Good. It was good!"
JD "Great. Did you have fun?"
Dad "Yes. Lots of scenery."
JD "Good."
Dad" "Good"
JD "Well, great. Welcome back."
Dad "It was great."
JD "K'bye"
Dad "Bye."
awesome. i think that's exactly how postcards should be! never mind this business of trying to cram all the details of your trip on a 3x5 card! just a touching of the bases. sweet :)
Thanks info. I love them. The one from Iowa has been on my fridge for months. I smile every time I see it. :)
The Iowa post card really cracked me up. :)
